Why Seattle Underground

Just some local guys who know sewers.

Seattle homes have a lot going on underground, and old houses mean old pipes.

Questions

Do you always have to dig up the yard?

No. Sometimes excavation is absolutely the right answer, and sometimes it isn’t. It depends on what’s going on with your line. We’ll tell you which one you’re dealing with.

What is sewer lining?

Lining is a way to repair a damaged pipe from the inside, so in the right situation you need a lot less digging. It isn’t right for every line. If it’s a good fit for yours, we’ll say so, and if it’s not, we’ll tell you why.

How do I know if it’s my sewer line?

Common signs are backups, slow drains throughout the house, gurgling, sewer smells, or a wet spot in the yard that shouldn’t be there. Older homes are more likely to have old, root-prone lines. Tell us what you’re seeing and we’ll help figure it out.

How much does sewer work cost?

It depends on what’s wrong, and anyone who quotes a sewer job without looking is guessing. We’ll explain your options and what each one involves before any work starts.
